Vincent Lacoste Nature Bordeaux
ORGANIC / NATURAL / LOW SULPHITES
A bright, pure yet rustic Bordeaux blend. Packed with black cherry, jammy raspberry, sloes, a hint of tobacco, and plenty of herbaceousness. The finish is juicy and moreish with good acidity to keep you reaching back. There’s no oak here, only 6 months in stainless steel. No fining, no filtration, with very low sulphites added just before bottling.
The Lacoste estate started out in 1856, when the family acquired their first vineyards on the highest bank of the Garonne River. Today, sixth-generation winemaker Vincent leads the estate, after converting the estate to organic viticulture in 2005. Vincent’s wines are crafted to be modern, approachable, and playful. He employs gentle extraction techniques, avoids oak influence, and steers clear of lees contact, ensuring a delicate, pure expression of fruit. The labels, designed by local artist and cartoonist Nono, reflect this spirit. Nature pays homage to the château’s gardener, who has tended the estate for over 50 years.
