Discover Piedmont wine (or Piemonte wine), coming from one of Italy’s most prestigious regions, located in the northwest near the Alps. Known for some of the country’s most structured and age-worthy Italian red wines, the region is home to iconic styles made from Nebbiolo, including Barolo wine and Barbaresco. These wines are typically complex, with flavours of red fruit, rose, tar and spice, supported by firm tannins and bright acidity.
Alongside Nebbiolo, Barbera wine plays a key role in the region, producing fresher, fruit-driven wines such as Barbera d’Asti. Piedmont also produces elegant white wines, most notably Gavi wine, made from the Cortese grape. From powerful, structured reds to crisp, mineral whites, Piedmont wines offer a diverse and distinctive expression of Italian wine.
