This site may contain certain historical information. Historical information, necessarily, is not current and is provided for your reference only. We reserve the right to modify the contents of this site at any time, but we have no obligation to update any information on our site. Terms of Sale
The placing of an order anywhere on our Sites does not constitute a contract. Order acceptance and the contract between you and us will only be formed on the despatch to you of the products ordered unless we have notified you that we do not accept your order, or you have cancelled it in accordance with the instructions set out in the “Cancellations” section below. For the avoidance of doubt, a contract is not formed at the point in time that payment has been taken from you be Forest Wines nor at the point when you receive an email from Forest Wines acknowledging receipt of your order.
Non-acceptance of an order may be a result of one of the following:
• The product you ordered being unavailable from stock
• Our inability to obtain authorisation for your payment
• Our inability to verify that you are aged over 18
• The identification of a pricing or product description error
We have made every effort to display as accurately as possible the images of our products that appear online. We cannot guarantee that your computer monitor’s display of any colour will be accurate.
We reserve the right but are not obligated, to limit the sales of our products to any person, geographic region or jurisdiction. We may exercise this right on a case-by-case basis. We reserve the right to limit the quantities of any products that we offer. All descriptions of products or product pricing are subject to change at any time without notice, at the sole discretion of us. We reserve the right to discontinue any product at any time. Any offer for any product made on this site is void where prohibited.
We do not warrant that the quality of any products, information, or other material purchased or obtained by you will meet your expectations
Errors, Inaccuracies and omissions
Occasionally there may be information on our site that contains typographical errors, inaccuracies or omissions that may relate to product descriptions, pricing, promotions, vintages, offers, product shipping charges, transit times and availability. We reserve the right to correct any errors, inaccuracies or omissions, and to change or update information or cancel orders if any information on the website is inaccurate at any time without prior notice (including after you have submitted your order).
We undertake no obligation to update, amend or clarify information on the website, including without limitation, pricing information, except as required by law. No specified update or refresh date applied in the Service or on any related website should be taken to indicate that all information on the website has been modified or updated.
All prices are quoted in pounds sterling, and may be per bottle or per case, as marked. The prices include UK duty and VAT, unless otherwise specified. Any delivery charges are additional, unless otherwise specified.
Although we endeavour to ensure that all pricing information on our Sites is accurate occasionally an error may occur and products may be incorrectly priced. In the event that a product you have ordered is listed at an incorrect price we will contact you by telephone or email before despatching your products asking you to confirm if you still wish to proceed with your order at the correct price or cancel your order. If you do not confirm that you wish to proceed with the order within seven days of the date of our email, we will consider this is a withdrawal of your order.
We reserve the right to alter prices without notice in the event of major currency fluctuations, changes in the rate of duty, VAT or other taxes, or other market conditions. We also reserve the right to terminate any special offer at any time, without notice.
Accuracy of Billing
We reserve the right to refuse any order you place with us. We may, in our sole discretion, limit or cancel quantities purchased per person, per household or per order. These restrictions may include orders placed by or under the same customer account, the same credit card, and/or orders that use the same billing and/or shipping address. In the event that we make a change to or cancel an order, we may attempt to notify you by contacting the e-mail and/or billing address/phone number provided at the time the order was made. We reserve the right to limit or prohibit orders that, in our sole judgment, appear to be placed by dealers, resellers or distributors.
You agree to provide current, complete and accurate purchase and account information for all purchases made. You agree to promptly update your account and other information, including your email address and credit card numbers and expiration dates so that we can complete your transactions and contact you as needed.
All products and services are subject to availability. Wine is an agricultural product and runs out from time to time. Occasionally we will substitute wines for a later vintage or an alternative of equal or greater value.
We deliver throughout the UK except for the Channel Islands BFPO addresses. Various delivery options are available for you to select when you place an order. For further details of these delivery options and prices for delivery please go to the Delivery & Returns section of our Site. Details of options available will also be provided at the time of placing your order. We reserve the right to restrict deliveries or to withdraw services to individual customers' addresses if you are repeatedly unavailable to take delivery of your order or in other exceptional circumstances.
Our deliveries are made by third party carriers. Some standard deliveries do not require a signature. If you are out, a card will be posted through your letterbox with instructions on how to arrange re-delivery. You should keep your delivery note and all packaging and should notify us immediately if any of the order is missing or damaged.
All orders we aim to dispatch within the 1-3-day period unless otherwise specified. If your delivery is going to take longer, we do our best to notify you.
Once an order has been placed, you will receive an order confirmation to your registered account email.
If you change your delivery address after the order has been placed, without notifying us, the order will go to the address supplied before payment.
We cannot be held responsible for parcels not delivered due to incorrect delivery information was given or if the recipient is out or away, or in the unlikely event your parcel is delayed through no fault of our own. If you are not in, you will be re-charged for another delivery. In the very unlikely event that your parcel is not delivered to you, through fault of the courier, we will need to investigate the reasons this has gone missing, when the stock has been returned we can refund you.
If the order ends up at an incorrect address through no fault of your own, full insurance will be removed from the collection/delivery of the goods back to the correct address.
Please note if the parcel is left in your requested safe place it is at your own risk.
If the parcel is returned to us after an attempted delivery you will be re-charged delivery at the full delivery price. If the parcel is returned to us, and you wish to cancel the order – you will be refunded the price of the consignment minus any delivery charges.
In the unlikely event, your order is damaged or goes missing between dispatch and delivery, you must notify us as soon as possible and no later than within 3 days of delivery by e-mail and we will send out a replacement order. Should we not be able to send a replacement within 7 days we will give you a full refund. Claims made outside the three-day period will not be entertained.
Cancellation and Refund
If you buy any of our wines and don't like a bottle, please see our Quality Control section below.
If you change your mind about some or all of your order, you may cancel your order up to and including 14 calendar days after the day on which you receive your order. Returns to the store at 149 Forest Road, London E17 6HE are free of charge. All the bottles are unopened and intact and the wine is in its original packaging. If you wish to post your parcel back to us you can return your parcel using any postal service. Please note - you'll need to cover the postage costs yourself. The parcel remains your responsibility until it arrives with us - remember to ask for proof of postage, so if your parcel goes missing in the mail, you’ll have proof you’ve sent it.
Please let us know if you wish to cancel an order by contacting us using one of the methods in the “Contact” section of the site. If you are e-mailing us or writing to us please include details of your order to help us identify it.
Refunds will be made by the same payment method you originally used to make payment.
As we're so confident about all of our wines we are happy to replace any wines that you don't enjoy, or offer a refund where appropriate, subject to the following conditions:
If the wine is faulty
If the wine is corked, oxidised or appears otherwise out of condition, provided it is still within the recommended drink date and has been stored in suitable conditions, we will arrange to replace the faulty bottle(s) or offer a refund as appropriate. You may be required to return the unfinished bottle for inspection, with cost of shipping the wine back to us refundable when the wine is assessed as faulty.
If the wine is not faulty but you did not enjoy it
If, having opened a bottle, the wine was not to your taste, provided the wine is within the recommended drink date and has been stored in suitable conditions, we will arrange to replace the bottle or offer a refund as appropriate. You may be required to return the unfinished bottle to us.
If you don't enjoy any of the wines or you suspect that they may be faulty please contact us. We will be more than happy to discuss the wines and resolve the matter to your satisfaction.
All information (including credit card details) is sent and received using the latest in secure e-commerce software. We will continue to use new security protocols and software as they become available.
Gift Cards purchased online or in-store. They come in pre-set values, should you wish to purchase a gift card of a different value than those offered. Please do not hesitate to contact us.
All gift cards are digital, we do not offer physical cards. If you want to buy a gift card for someone else, you simply forward the gift card email to the recipient.
Once you have placed your order on our website, you will receive an email containing a unique gift card code that can be used at the checkout to redeem its value.
This code isn't case sensitive. A gift card holds a balance, which can be spent over more than one order. Gift card balances are applied to the total value of an order, which can include taxes and shipping.
Gift cards can be redeemed Forest Wines store (149 Forest Road, London E17 6HE) or online. It may be exchanged for goods of a higher price than the face value of the card on payment of the difference. It cannot be exchanged for cash.
Wines purchased from us are for the customer's own use only (which may include their use as gifts for third parties). Wines may not be re-sold or otherwise used for commercial purposes.

It is against the law for any person under the age of 18 to buy, or attempt to buy intoxicating liquor or for any person over the age of 18 to buy or attempt to buy intoxicating liquor for any person under the age of 18. Forest Wines is committed to upholding its legal and social obligations as a retailer of intoxicating liquor. By placing an order you confirm that you and the recipient of the wine are at least 18 years old. If our couriers are in doubt of the age of the recipient of an order they will request some form of ID. In the event that this is not satisfied they are not permitted to leave the wine.
We will validate name, address, age and other personal information supplied by you during the order process against appropriate third party databases. By accepting these terms and conditions you consent to such checks being made. Personal information that you provide may be disclosed to a credit reference or fraud prevention agency which may keep a record of that information. This is done only to confirm your identity. A credit card check is not performed and your credit rating will be unaffected. If we cannot verify your age using this method we will contact you to ask for a driving licence number (or other evidence) in order to proceed with the order.
Fraud and Crime Prevention
For the purposes of the prevention or detection of offences, and/or the apprehension or prosecution of offenders, we may share any information that we collect with the police, other public or private sector agencies or representative bodies in accordance with the relevant legislation. Information shared in this way will not be used for marketing purposes.
Please note that the images of the products on our website are for illustrative purposes only. Although we have made every effort to display the colours accurately, we cannot guarantee that your computer's display of the colours accurately reflect the colour of the products. Your products may vary slightly from those images.
Our liability for losses you suffer as a result of us breaching these Terms of Sale is strictly limited to any losses which are a foreseeable consequence of us breaching these Terms of Sale. Losses are foreseeable where they could be contemplated by you and us at the time your order is accepted by us.
Except as expressly provided in these Terms of Sale, we are not responsible for any delay in, or failure of, performance of our obligations under these Terms of Sale arising from any cause beyond our reasonable control including but not limited to any of the following: act of God, governmental act, war, fire, flood, storm, adverse weather conditions including but not limited to snow, explosion or civil commotion, failure in information technology or telecommunications services, failure of a third party (including failure to supply data) and industrial action.
We will not be liable for loss or damage caused by the customer handling the wine. In particular we will not be liable for spillages or breakages.
Customers should also be aware of the following inherent risks and warnings:
• Alcohol should be consumed in moderation.
• A case of wine is heavy so extra care should be taken when lifting it. If you are concerned about the weight we advise that you transfer the bottles 1 or 2 at a time.
• Red wine in particular may cause staining if spilt so extra care should be taken.
• Sparkling wines and champagnes can be volatile due to the build up of gasses. Extra care should be taken when opening these.
Nothing in these Terms of Sale shall affect our liability for death or personal injury arising from our negligence, nor our liability for fraud, nor any other liability which cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law.

Use of the Sites
To comply with licensing and other legislation, the Sites are only available to those aged 18 years and over. By using the Sites, you agree that you are aged 18 or over. If you are not, you must not use the Sites. We will ask you to enter your date of birth before making any purchases.
You agree to use the Sites only for lawful purposes and in a way which does not infringe the rights of anyone else or restrict or inhibit anyone else's use and enjoyment of the Sites.
Access to the Sites is permitted on a temporary basis and we reserve the right to withdraw or amend the service we provide on the Sites without notice. We will not be liable for any reason if the Sites are unavailable at any time or for any period.
You are responsible for making all arrangements necessary for you to have access to the Sites. You are also responsible for ensuring that all persons who access the Sites through your Internet connection are aware of these Terms and that they comply with them.
Intellectual Property Rights
All present and future copyright, design rights, unregistered designs, database rights, registered and unregistered trade marks (including the Forest Wines trade mark) and any other present and future intellectual property rights and rights in the nature of intellectual property rights existing in and to the Sites including content published on them such as text, graphics, logos, banners, images, buttons, underlying source code and software, are owned by us or the applicable licensor. Nothing in these Terms shall be construed as an assignment to you of any such intellectual property rights.
Any use (including copying, reproduction, duplication, transmission, or display of the content of this website, without our express written permission) for purposes other than the viewing of information or for ordering purposes, is strictly prohibited.
Permission is granted to electronically copy, and to print in hard copy, portions of the Sites for the sole purpose of placing an order with us or using the Sites as a shopping resource.
User comments and content
You may post reviews, ratings, messages, comments and other content which may be disclosed, submitted or offered to us on or through the Sites or otherwise (“Submissions”).
This right is extended on condition that the Submissions are not illegal, obscene, abusive, threatening, defamatory, invasive of privacy, infringing of intellectual property rights, or otherwise injurious to third parties, or objectionable. Specifically, Submissions should not include software viruses, political campaigning, commercial solicitation, chain letters or mass mailings. You are solely responsible for your Submissions. We reserve the right to suspend your use of the Sites at any time for operational, regulatory, legal or other reasons. We may terminate your use of the Sites and/or your account with us with immediate effect if you breach any of these Terms.

We may update or amend these Terms from time to time to comply with law or to meet our changing business requirements by amending this page without notice to you. You are expected to check this page from time to time to take notice of any changes made. Such changes will be effective as soon as they are posted on the Sites. These Terms are governed by the laws of England and the English courts shall have jurisdiction over any disputes arising under or in relation to them and any contract made under them.
If any of these Terms are found to be illegal, invalid or unenforceable by any court of competent jurisdiction, the rest of the Terms remain in full force and effect.
Only you and we are entitled to enforce these Terms. No third party is entitled to enforce any of these Terms, whether by virtue of the Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Act 1999 or otherwise.
We may freely transfer or assign any portion of our rights or delegate our obligations under these Terms. You are not entitled to transfer or assign, by operation of law or otherwise, any portion of your rights or delegate you obligations under these Terms without our prior written consent.
Alcohol can damage your health if consumed irresponsibly or in excess. Please drink responsibly, never drink and drive, and please heed recommended guidelines for drinking, which can be found on the Drink Aware charity’s website at http://www.drinkaware.co.uk/tips-and-tools/drink-diary/
Mixed case subscription
In addition to Forest Wines's general terms and conditions, the following special terms apply to Mixed Case subscription service:
Forest Wines offers a subscription-ordering scheme designed for customer wishing to receive wine every month. We put together mixed cases of 3, 6 and 12 seasonal wines. Our buyers change the wine selection every month.
Payment for wines through the subscription is only by creation of monthly Direct Debit via a UK bank account.
Forest Wines will continue to supply a box every month until you inform us that you wish to change or cancel. You can skip a case or cancel your subscription any time.
Your wine will be dispatched on or around the same date as the purchase of your first subscription box. If you wish to change the day please do not hesitate to contact us.
Forest Wines rewards
We may end or amend the scheme at any time. We may need to change these terms and conditions from time to time, for example to introduce new or temporary features, or to keep them accurate and up to date. We will endeavour to give you reasonable notice in advance of any changes. The latest version will always be found on our website.
To use the Rewards scheme, you must be a UK resident, aged 16 years or over.
Our rewards scheme can also only be used for personal and consumer use. They cannot be used for any business transaction or purpose.
Your Points are personal to you, are not transferable and cannot be shared, sold, exchanged, bought, or traded in any way.
You can choose to leave the scheme at any time and still use all rewards scheme points already issued. We will keep a record of your original account and accumulated points for a year, just in case you wish to re-join but after that, you will lose all those points you've earned.
We reserve the right to suspend or cancel your account if you haven't used it for a year, but we will attempt to notify you before we do so.
We may end, cancel or suspend your rewards account and/or remove you as a member from the scheme at any time where there is reasonable belief of: abuse or attempted abuse of the scheme; any breach or attempted breach of these terms and conditions and/or those relating to optional elements of the scheme; any behaviour relating to the scheme that involves theft, misconduct, abusive or offensive behaviour, or supplying false or misleading information.
Rewards Scheme Points
Rewards points are earned by spending money on any products on www.forestwines.com or in the shop 149 Forest Road, London E17 6HE.
You will receive one point per pound (sterling) spent online & in-store. You will not receive rewards points on the following: VAT
(value added tax), delivery costs. We may exclude other products from earning Rewards points at any time at our discretion.
The minimum Rewards Points you can redeem is 50.
It may take up to 72 hours for the Points you have earned to be added to your account.
Points cannot be exchanged for cash.
You have 7 days following an eligible transaction in which to query the number of Points that you have earned.
We reserve the right to amend your balance if you exchange or return any product, cancel or not complete on an offer.
We may correct any incorrect balances without notice to you, for example if Points have been incorrectly added to your account or deducted in error.
We may transfer our rights and obligations under these terms and conditions at any time without your consent (for example, if we sell our business).
