Tio Uco, Alvar de Dios Hernandez
Dense and juicy blend from Toro in northern Spain, with some time spent in old oak for a more structured, but fruit-led take on a Garnacha blend. Great with food, this red is versatile and bold.
Named after Uco, who was like an uncle (tio in Spanish) to his entire hometown in Toro. He lived during a time of famine and defended his village against neighbouring invaders, who sought to take over their premium plots.
