This wine treads the balance nicely between intensity and freshness; it is packed with dark fruits on the nose such as black and red cherry, ripe blackcurrants and juicy berries. On the palate there is a bright acidity (due to the use of stainless steel and exclusion of oxygen in the winemaking process) that lifts the deep fruit flavours.
Only grapes go into this wine (no added sulfites, selected yeasts, tannins or whatever else imaginable), which come from Salcheto's “en gobelet” vines of Trequanda. The 2019 vintage is fresh and intense, due to a pretty classic climate, whilst also deep and rich due to a lengthy maturation.
