Deep, vibrant purple in colour with soft plum and mulberry fruit. This is lifted by spicy, earthy and slightly wild aromatics. The palate is supple and fruit‑forward, showing blue and black fruits, wet river‑stone minerality, and gentle black pepper. Finishing with soft approachable tannins. A vibrant, aromatic expression of Touriga Nacional from the Tejo region, crafted with traditional foot‑treading and gentle micro‑oxidation to highlight purity, fruit and freshness.
This wine spent 3 months in an Ovoide (Porous egg shaped deposit) to allow for gentle micro-oxidization. 30% of this wine was aged in 500L new French oak barrels for 4 months.
Ode Winery is a modern, small‑scale project based in Vila Chã de Ourique in Portugal’s Tejo region. Working from a beautifully restored 1902 winery, the team focuses on crafting expressive wines with a philosophy of “Minimal Intervention, Maximum Attention.” Their approach combines traditional Portuguese techniques with contemporary precision, using stainless steel, old oak vats, stone lagares and clay pots to highlight purity, freshness and regional character. Ode Winery champions local varieties and produces wines that are elegant, balanced and true to their origins.
