Nuvo Nivo Origine Barbera

The third release from Modal’s collaboration project ’Nuvo Nivo’, this time in conjunction with Paolo Malfatti, who was the very first producer to join Modal Wines, hence the name 'Origine’.
Paolo’s Barbera grows among hazelnut and fruit trees in its little corner of Piemonte. This cuveé came out a a bit softer than his usual style of Barbera, with plenty of juicy raspberry, sour cherry, and some dried herbs.
Growing up in Milan, Paolo spent a lot of his childhood holidays in Langhe, nurturing his love for this region. After studies in Agriculture and Oenology at the University of Piacenza, he established Cascina Zerbetta in 1998 in the Monferrato Appellation with a commitment to create pure, terroir-driven wines, in respect of nature and the traditions of this area.
