Luka Zeichmann Ujca Hendrik
A deliciously light field blend of red varieties, including Blaufränkisch, Zweigelt and Blauer Portugieser. Crunchy and spicy, with aromas of strawberry and raspberry. The same fruits appear on the palate in the zippiest way imaginable, alongside a prickle of carbon dioxide. The finish is long and full of pure, concentrated fruit.
Fermented gently and bottled with no additional sulphites.
Luka has been known for the wines he makes at Jois, in northern Burgenland, under the label Joiseph. He is now also making wine further south in the same region, purchasing fruit from selected growers. Ujca Hendrik is Luka's tribute to his great-uncle, whose farm Luka has taken over.
