Gut Oggau Maskerade Weiss
Complex, intriguing and full of flavour, this white blend is still finding its true voice. Grippy, zesty and with plenty of mineral and green fruit notes, but with even more character to come.
Gut Oggau is a 14-hectare Austrian wine estate located in the province of Burgenland by Lake Neusiedl. The estate is run by Eduard Tscheppe and his wife Stephanie. The individual personalities of the wine are expressed in the faces on the labels created by Jung von Matt (German designer) and brought together in the Gut Oggau family tree. A unique and fascinating way of describing the wines, they taste every bit as intriguing as the labels suggest.
Family tree: These individuals in the Maskerade series are represented by blends from recently acquired vineyards, whose personalities aren't yet known. They're still hiding a bit of themselves, and so aren't yet fully integrated into the family tree. For now, they're slightly mysterious figures that are likely never to be seen in this same way again.
