Zesty and vibrant with aromas of fresh citrus, golden plum, and meadow flowers. The palate offers more citrus and a lovely saline flicker. Some time in contact with air will help it open up to a nutty, creamy note.
Judith Beck macerated the Furmint grapes, one of Burgenland's traditional varieties, for five days in an open fermentation vat after harvesting, then aged them for 13 months in used 500-liter barrels on the lees. She then bottled the wine unfiltered and without added sulfur. A natural wine in the truest sense, emphasizing the grape's fresh citrus notes and delivering a zesty, bright, and vibrant experience on the palate.
The Judith Beck winery is based near lake Neusiedlersee, the warmest region of Austria for wine production, although Judith's vineyard sites tend to the cooler side, producing wines with more fresh fruit characteristic than you'd normally see from the region.
