Andrias Gvino Rkatsiteli

Orange wine made from the Rkatsiteli grape variety, fermented in Qvevri (clay amphora) on skins for 7 days then aged in Qvevri with no skins or stems for 1 year. The classic Khaketian amber wine, deep spicy flavours but a more approachable tannic profile than most, which is the signature of the estate.  Stunning depth and complexity with a refined precision.
Aromas include stone fruit, dried apricots, citrus peel, and herbal notes, with a structured, mineral-driven palate. This wine expresses the authentic terroir of Georgia with unfiltered, additive-free vinification, making it both expressive and food-friendly.

The winery began in 1984, when George's grandfather Alexander Wolski built a family wine cellar in Khashmi, crafting natural wines for personal use using organic vineyards and additive-free methods. George grew up helping his father and grandfather, and today he continues this tradition commercially, working with organic, non-irrigated vineyards, no fertilizers, no additives (including sulfites), strict grape selection, low yields, and only free-run juice to ensure the highest quality. Their unfiltered wines are made under the Andrias Gvino label, named after his son Andria, who—like George—began helping at harvest at the age of three (and features on the label), carrying our family’s winemaking legacy into the future.
