This amazing value Cotes du Rhone has ripe red/dark fruit aromas and characteristic peppery notes. Lovely softness in the mouth with velvety tannins and confit fruits, hints of tobacco and leather, and nice acidity from the Syrah as well as some spicy blackcurrant fruit.
Les Vignerons d'Estezargues is a southern French cooperative based in the village of Estézargues in the Gard region of the Rhone Valley. It was founded in 1965 and comprises 10 independent vignerons who farm 420 hectares. This excellent coop is set apart by adopting only 'natural' wine-making procedures - no external yeasts, no fining, no enzymes and so on - all of which contribute to exact and structured wines.
