Joan d'Anguera Planella
Finca la Planella is a small, single vineyard in Monstant from which Joan D'Anguera produce this exceptional blend of Carignan and Garnatxa. Certified biodynamic, is full of lively, juicy, dark fruit, dried flowers and white pepper. The wine is aged for a year in old French barriques to allow the blend to mature. Full-bodied but fresh, this is a gutsy, flavoursome red.
The Anguera family have been farming in Montsant for seven generations. Joan and Josep decided to completely overhaul how these vines have been historically farmed, breathing modern ideas into the winery and creating a very dynamic, exciting project. They started in the vineyards: working biodynamically and achieving Demeter certification in 2011.
