As the weather (finally) warms, and the Easter holidays approach, it's the perfect time to indulge in some springtime feasting with our selection of delicious wines. This month’s case features a range of wines that pair beautifully with the fresh and vibrant flavours of the season. Whether you’re planning festivities or simply looking to enjoy some lovely wine, these will go down a treat.
First up is the Adaras Tinto, a Spanish blend with a smooth palate and notes of dark fruit, with a hint of spice on the finish. The structure in this wine pair wonderfully with heartier meat dishes, such as roast lamb. Another good pairing for this dish style would be a classic Chianti, this one with dark cherry flavours and notes of tobacco on the finish, with fine, well-integrated tannins. We also have a lighter option this month, in tune with the change in the season. The Backhouse Pinot Noir has bright red fruit notes, such as raspberry and plum, with a silky finish. This versatile wine will pair nicely with various dishes, such as duck breast or roasted vegetables.
