FAQs

Here you will find answers to some of the most frequently asked questions for this category.

When is Beaujolais Nouveau 2025 released?

Beaujolais Nouveau is always released on the third Thursday of November. For 2025, that’s 20th November 2025. It’s a global event where bottles are opened at midnight across France and quickly make their way to the UK and the rest of the world.

What makes Beaujolais Nouveau different from regular Beaujolais wine?

Beaujolais Nouveau is made to be enjoyed young. It’s fermented quickly (a matter of weeks rather than months), resulting in a fresh, juicy, ultra-light red with bright fruit and almost no tannins. Classic Beaujolais and cru Beaujolais wines usually have more structure, depth, and ageing potential.

How long can I keep Beaujolais Nouveau 2025?

It’s designed for immediate drinking. Most bottles are best enjoyed before spring 2026. A few natural versions can hold a bit longer, but the joy of Beaujolais Nouveau is its youthful energy.

Where can I buy Beaujolais Nouveau 2025 in the UK?

Forest Wines will have allocations available for pre-order and shipping around the release date. Bottles often sell out quickly, especially from top natural producers (Lapierre, Foillard, Metras, etc.), so pre-ordering is recommended.

What foods pair well with Beaujolais Nouveau?

It’s incredibly versatile. Try it with: roast chicken or turkey, charcuterie boards, pâté and terrines, Comté or soft cheeses, casual snacks (crisps, olives, anchovies). And don’t be afraid to chill it slightly, it makes the fruit even brighter.
