Tameran, Malvasia Volcanica
Aromatic on the nose with hints of ash, sulfur, lemon oils and a whiff of herbs. On the palate it is vibrantly mineral, taught and a little smoky; big refreshing acidity and a long saline taste on the finish. Essentially, it's the best expression of its insular, volcanic terroir.
Started in 2019 by footballer and Canary Islands native David Silva, and winemaker Jonathan Garcia, Tamerán is set across six hectares of vineyards in Gran Canaria. They focus on local varietis such as Verdello, Baboso Blanco, Marmajuelo, Vijariego Negro and Blanco, Malvasía Aromática and Volcánica.
