A serious, beautiful and rare grower Blanc de Blanc from the prestigious vineyard of Avize. Powerful and dense, with fine and frothy bubbles. The nose has pronounced waxy citrus rind kick, followed by apricots and pastry dough. The palette is rich and structured which makes this champagne very food versatile. If you are looking for that special occasion bottle, look no further.
Alexander, the grower behind Chartogne-Taillet started out aged 23 with clear and uncompromising ideas on viticulture. If you were to visit his vineyards you would see his chickens and sheep roaming freely to mange pests and control weeds, therefore no herbicides or pesticides are used. The majority of Alexander's land is ploughed in the traditional horse-dawn manner.
