Jacobus Riesling Trocken, Peter Jakob Kuhn, Rheingau

This is an attractive dry Riesling. From several of parcels of the vineyards and much more broader in style, this still holds the characteristic piercing acidity and purity of fruit. Lime and palm sugar on the nose, concentrated citrus in the mouth and notable ripe stone fruit. Long and creamy on the finish.

This estate came to prominence in the early 1990s and has maintained its position at the top of the Rheingau heirarchy. Peter Jakob Kühn is one of the growers re-establishing the area's reputation, he farms eighteen hectares of gently sloping vineyards in Oestrich representing the eleventh generation of Kühns to grow wine in the Rheingau. Having completed the transformation to organic viticulture in 2004 his wines have superb concentration and are bottled under crown cap closures.
