Domaine Durrmann Ron-rond le litron
A perfect 'Vin de soif', with a low alcohol level and in a litre bottle; perfect for sharing with mates as an apéritif. A blend of Pinot Blanc, Gewurtztraminer and Sylvaner, it comes out cloudy in the glass and delivers flavours of pithy citrus fruits and a salty minerality. With a slight spritz and the large format, it's a great crowd-pleaser that retains a distinctive Alsatian personality.
Located in the charming village of Andlau in Alsace, the Durrmann family has been producing organic wines from their ancestral home since 1979, with son Yann taking over the reigns last year. They firmly believe in the quality of their grapes and terroir, and aim to preserve this quality with minimal intervention in the winery, employing natural production techniques such as the use of native yeasts and low-to-no addition of sulphur. Part of the production is vinified in stainless steel while the rest is aged on old wooden casks. This results in wines that are balanced, precise, and elegant, with a purity and depth that can only come from careful natural winemaking.
