Librares Garnacha, Senorio de Librares

£22.00

100% Garnacha aged in both French and American oak barrels to enhance texture and delicate spicy notes. And concrete tanks, enhancing the freshness and fruity character of the variety. Intense cherry red in the glass with aromas of fresh red fruits (strawberry, raspberry), and a touch of spice. The palate is ilky with good balance between acidity and ripeness. Fine tannins and a finish with notes of red fruits and cherry.

Our vineyards are nestled in Tudelilla, at the base of the Sierra La Hez, 500 meters above sea level. This unique location benefits from a continental climate with Mediterranean influences and excellent natural ventilation. These conditions promote a slow, even ripening of the grapes, resulting in wines that are both fresh and complex. The Garnacha grapes are carefully harvested at their peak and undergo a precise winemaking process. Fermentation occurs in stainless steel tanks under controlled temperatures to preserve the varietal's true character.

Señorio de Librares is a small, family run winery from the Rioja region that is the product of several generations of hard-work, with great-great-grandfather Pedro María Espinosa winning the gold medal at the Universal Exposition in Paris in 1878. The new generation at the helm has recently begun embracing a low intervention and environmentally friendly approach to winemaking, practicing sustainable and organic agriculture and using recycled cardboard for the packaging. Assiduous care is taken in production to produce high-quality wines that live up to their ancestors memory, and which will please both discerning traditional palates as well as young, modern audiences.
