Grapes are sourced from the vineyards that are planted to the traditional Lanzarote ‘hoyos’. These are hand-dug pits, up to
2m deep, with a single vine planted at the bottom. All the vines are in excess of 100 years old and planted in deep, black, volcanic sands. Grapes are foot crushed in stone lagares and then fermented together with wild yeasts and no added SO2. It rests for seven months in stainless steel before bottling without fining or filtration.
Malvasia provides the aromatics and depth of mineral flavours while the Diego provides the freshness and acidity.

The nose is very pronounced, displaying typical Rioja aromas of ripe strawberries, dark plums, cream, vanilla and hints of sweet liquorice. On the palate it is elegant, with well-integrated alcohol, fine-grained tannins and good flavour concentration and crisp acidity. Aged for 17 months in barrel and released after a minimum of three years in the cellar.

Cotes-du-Jura - Tradition, Domaine Macle

Yellow gold! An oxidative cuvée with a silky texture and notable terroir print on the finish. It is very complex, with floral notes, beeswax, acacia honey, walnut and almond, a good weight and subtle bitters on the finish.
After a year of normal fermentation and ageing in cuvee, this wine was then transferred into 50yo barrels and aged under flor for three years before bottling.

A very unique blend in Bordeaux at present (with so much malbec), this is a beautiful, hand-crafted wine. Nose of blackcurrants, violet, menthol and cooked prunes. It is ripe but supple and very silky on the palate, with perfect acidity and long finish with a lot of freshness. Good structured tannins from the time in oak, velvet mouthfeel. Old world red at its best.
